The 60 tastiest vegan dishes to tuck into during Leeds Restaurant Week

Whether you’re looking for a lunchtime treat (and an excuse to escape the office) or you’re after an extravagant 3 course evening meal, there’s a tantalising amount on offer during August’s Leeds Restaurant Week, including some mouth-watering vegan options.

So, if you’re vegan, or a meat-lover who simply fancies a change, feast your eyes on these 60 delicious plant-based dishes on the menu during Leeds Restaurant Week … from silken tofu gyozas to sweet potato dumplings, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into.

 

All Bar One (Greek Street & Millennium Square) – 2 courses for £10

Starter: Crushed avocado bruschetta with tomato salsa or seasonal mushroom tempura with toasted sesame and miso dip

Main: Supergreen noodle laksa with vermicelli noodles, spiced coconut sauce with pak choi, broccoli, spinach and beansprouts

Dessert: Raspberry and coconut sorbets

Main: Paella de Verduras or Patatas bravas or Coliflor asado or Champinones y calabacin

Dessert: Fruit and nut kebabs skewers of marinated fruit with date, nut and coco nib balls served with dark chocolate dipping sauce

Starter:  Red and golden beets, tomatoes and basil on toasted sourdough.

Main: Bangalore vegetable curry with butternut squash, potato, cauliflower, carrot and lentils cooked with traditional south Indian spices and coconut milk, served with fragrant rice.

Browns – 2 courses for £10

Starter: Beetroot hash with smashed avocado, straw fries, celery cress

Main: Coronation cauliflower saag aloo, coconut raita, mango, toasted almonds, broccoli shoots, beluga lentils, curry oil

Cosy Club – 2 courses for £10 or 3 courses for £15

Starter: Garlic mushrooms on sourdough toast or Hummus with pomegranate, carrot tapenade, pickled red cabbage and heirloom tomatoes, served with warm pitta bread

Main: Courgette, edamame and mint risotto with toasted seeds and beetroot and rosemary hummus or Thai green curry with coconut and coriander rice, spring rolls and sweet chilli dipping sauce

Dessert: Chocolate and orange torte with raspberry sauce

George’s Great British Kitchen – 2 courses for £10 or 3 courses for £15

Starter: Sweet pepper pate and hummus topped with toasted pumpernickel, served with baby rainbow carrots, radish, spring onion, baby fennel, cucumber, celery and crisp tomato flat bread for dipping

Main: Sweet potato dumplings served on bhaji battered crispy courgette noodles, grilled courgettes, coconut yoghurt raita and smooth mango chutney

Dessert: Chocolate and orange truffle in buttery pastry, served with vegan chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce.

Gusto – 2 courses and a glass of wine for £10

Starter: Bruschetta with tomato, basil and garlic, finished with extra virgin olive oil

Main: Rainbow superfood salad with avocado, chickpeas, spiced pumpkin seeds and crispy flatbreads

Starter: Sun-blushed tomato arancini, sweet basil relish, black sesame or Shiitake mushroom and silken tofu gyozas, pickled ginger and balsamic soy

Main: Grilled seitan, hummus, romaine, pickles, raita and extra chilli sauce or 5-spice panko tofu, creamy peanut sauce, steamed rice, sweet pickles, chilli and cashews

Dessert: Docks espresso, Northern Bloc vanilla ice-cream, dark chocolate shavings served with Ritz wafers

Starter: Pea bruschetta with heritage tomato on toasted sourdough with balsamic dressed leaves

Main: Spiced butternut squash and chickpea tagine with sweet apricot, raisin and lemon giant couscous and pea shoots
