Keeping the kids entertained over the summer holidays can be a challenge at the best of times, but with Eat Leeds Restaurant Week back on the menu for a fourth time, these 8 family-friendly restaurants are guaranteed to satisfy bellies of all sizes. We’ve whittled it down to 8 great spots, but you can choose from over 60 restaurants, all serving up 2 or 3 course menus for only £10 or £15. And don’t forget, whilst you’re dining in Leeds you can hunt for the full-size dinosaurs coming to life all over the city as part of the Leeds Jurassic Trail!

George’s Great British Kitchen

A great place to take the kids, George’s Great British Kitchen will give your little ones a colouring book with fun activities and stickers (plus, once they’ve finished crafting away it turns into a stylish hat!). Tuck into their Proper Dirty Burger or the divine Mac n Three Cheese Pie, served with traditional twice cut chips made the proper way. End on a sugar high (and a possible food coma), thanks to their insanely delicious fresh homemade doughnuts with chocolate dipping sauce, chocolate ice cream and candyfloss.

Simpatico Pizza is a fabulous Pizza al Taglio (meaning pizza by the slice) restaurant in Leeds, tucked inside Queens Arcade in the heart of the city centre. Kids will love getting straight into choosing their pizza toppings, which change daily, and you can finish it off with one of their delicious arancini balls; heavenly balls of gooey risotto and mozzarella. Available from midday until 6pm every day of Leeds Restaurant Week, it’s the perfect spot for lunch or dinner.

Rosa’s Thai Café

New to the Trinity Centre, Rosa’s Thai Café promises vibrant, honest Thai food complemented by a laid-back atmosphere. The kids certainly won’t be disappointed with the likes of Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce and Salted Caramel Ice Cream on the restaurant week menu. The grown-ups will also leave satisfied as the menu showcases a selection of authentic curries with enough spice and soul to fill the Mekong River. This special menu is available from midday until 10.30pm every day of restaurant week, and you may want to keep eyes peeled for one of the gigantic dinosaurs whilst you’re at the Trinity Centre!
